A film for our times • • • • • (bewertet mit 5 von 5 Punkten) Alle meine Rezensionen ansehen (REAL NAME) Rezension bezieht sich auf: Ein Fleck in der Sonne (DVD) This film, which closely follows the play by the same name of Lorraine Hansberry, is quite a pleasant surprise coming from the late 1950s. A black family with many dreams suddenly has a chance to bring them to life. The difficulty will be which dream to choose. The matriarch of the family, Lena Younger, is a down-to-earth, very wise lady, who one day receives a large sum of insurance money. What will she do with it? Watch out for her many memorable lines as she steers her breaking-apart family towards the haven of dignity and true values. A great film still very valuable after half a century!
